It was established in 1942. It started as a Mission School. in 1968 the School was closed and the pupils went to Mhelo hence the Mission area was left idle and occupied by some people.

When the Small Christian Communities came in 1988, the Christians had no proper place to meet. They started the process of getting back their Mission area. They succeeded to get part of it in 1991. In 1992 under Rev. Fr. Ernest Seng’enge, the process of constructing a Church began; its completion came in 1995.

It has about 665 Christians and five Small Christians Communities.
